Your Beer Marketing is More Important Than Ever

With almost 8,000 breweries across the country and more in planning, it’s crucial to find new and creative ways to stand out from your competition – especially at the shelf level.

The successful sale of your beer now goes beyond just the delicious liquid inside a can (or keg!). Breweries have started to invest more and more in their marketing tools – especially when it comes to their can designs.

When you walk up to a packed beer shelf filled with hundreds of cans, how do you choose? Most consumers will do one of two things: Choose the name they know or choose based on can design! The importance of a beer can jumping off a shelf has never been more important. Brewers are working with awesome artists and designers on their can “art” and the benefits are paying off.

Hillebrand has partnered with the first-ever Craft Beer Marketing Awards to help recognize those who are “crushing it” in the world of beer marketing.

The 2020 Craft Beer Marketing Awards were developed by a team of marketing and beer industry experts to provide a prestigious new awards program that recognizes excellence in beer design and overall consumer communications as produced by the breweries, or their advertising, marketing, and design partners. These awards give breweries the opportunity to share their design and branding work on a whole new level.

Awards will be given for so much more than just can design – there are over 30 categories including: Best Tap Handle, Best Logo, Best Original Video, Best Website, Best Use of Social Media – and more! There will be an award ceremony during the week of the 2020 Craft Brewers Conference in San Antonio, TX during the Hillebrand Keg Pros party.

The awards are open to anyone employed in brewing, design, advertising, and marketing in North America. Projects completed between September 2017 and September 2019 will be accepted for this year’s competition. Enter now – the deadline has been extended to February 21, 2020!
