Oliver F. Coiro
Vice President of Transportation

Oliver Coiro has been a member of the Satellite Logistics Group executive team since 2000. Although brought on board as director of distribution, responsibilities were expanded in 2003 when he was promoted to vice president of transportation.

During his tenure in distribution, the company experience exponential growth following the opening of Satellite Logistics Group's first beverage distribution center for Heineken USA. This milestone paved the way for two facility relocations, five distribution center expansions and two facility startups.

In the transportation division he is responsible for overseeing the procurement of vendor services, quality carrier program, vendor training, over-the road and rail transportation, transportation market analysis and benchmarking and the technology that supports all of these areas.

In 2003 Coiro took the lead role in the technology initiative, which was designed to streamline the global distribution system. The following year, Coiro served on the team that identified and selected the final solution that would be used to deploy a new transportation management system (TMS).  In 2005, he was directly involved with the operation acceptance, deployment and integration of a new order management system (OMS) within the transportation group.  These technological enhancements are all important elements of the improvement in customer service through the transportation operations.

Coiro mas more than 20 years experience in sales and distribution.  Prior to joining Satellite
Logistics Group, Coiro had a successful career in the automotive parts industry. He spent 15 years employed by the nation's largest aftermarket parts supplier. During that time, he served as a territory manager, stockroom manager, wholesale manager and sales manager at the Houston Distribution Center.
