All of our services – Kegspediter®, Bev360™ and EcoBev® – are designed to help you manage your supply chain as efficiently as possible and minimize your environmental footprint. Our EcoBev beverage disposal service, for example, is the only turnkey nationwide green solution for beverage disposal.

SmartWay Transport Partner since 2009As a SmartWay Logistics Company Partner since 2009, we partner with SmartWay certified carriers whenever possible, sharing their dedication to reducing emissions and increasing fuel efficiency. In fact, we achieve the highest index available for a logistics provider for using SmartWay carriers every year.

To support our customers’ sustainability programs, we provide carbon footprint reporting upon request as well as reporting for ocean transport.

We’re proud to report that our reduction in energy usage earned us a Blue Skyways Collaborative Partnership award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Going forward, we’ll continue to seek out new green initiatives.

We’re also proud of recent industry recognition for our efforts and results in sustainability and green initiatives, including:

  • In November 2014, SLG earned the 2014 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for providing supply chain solutions that help its customers to realize their sustainable supply chain goals. SLG was selected from nearly 200 nominees in recognition of the company’s efforts to help brewers maximize their use of stainless steel kegs. Stainless steel kegs have an average life cycle of 30 years and are 100% recyclable, making them a more environmentally favorable packaging option over plastic. To minimize their environmental impact, it is important to control the number of kegs in circulation. SLG’s innovative Kegspediter® keg management solution leverages proprietary software and the company’s network of more than 1,600 distributors, along with supply chain nodes across the country, to return kegs more efficiently. Reducing cycle time allows a brewery to service its distribution market with fewer kegs.
  • In October, SLG was re-certified as a SmartWay® Logistics Company Partner for another year. SLG has earned this eco-friendly recognition every year since 2009.
  • In June 2014, SLG was named a 2014 Top Green Provider by Food Logistics magazine, an industry-leading publication. The Top Green Providers list recognizes companies whose product, service or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the food and beverage industry. SLG was recognized because it helps brewers to minimize their environmental impact in a number of ways. SLG’s innovative Kegspediter® keg management solution helps brewers to return kegs more efficiently, so they can service their distribution market with fewer kegs. SLG also offers the only nationwide green solution for beverage disposal. The company’s EcoBev® service helps brewers and other beverage companies dispose of their products properly instead of pouring them down the drain or sending them to the landfill.
